19 Hyde Park Gardens

LPP has attained planning permission and listed building consent for internal and external alterations to this Grade II Listed Building opposite Hyde Park. The consent allows for the removal of internal service areas to create additional internal height to the rooms and new ceilings, the relocation of service plant to a void in the roof form and alterations to the fenestration. LPP worked with MMM Architects to find an acceptable design solution for the client’s requirements.

Castletown Road and Gledstanes Road

LPP have successfully achieved gaining planning permission for the conversion of two former hostels in West Kensington to self-contained flats. Each property will contain 5 self-contained flats with a mix of 1 and 2 bed units. This follows negotiation with the Council and the Environment Agency, particularly in respect of the basement and ground floor flats.

Uxbridge Road, Ealing

LPP have secured planning permission on appeal for a major new office scheme on Uxbridge Road, Ealing.  Working with Squire and Partners, LPP have overcome LB Ealing’s decision to refuse, securing permission for a building which will provide a new landmark on this section of the Uxbridge Road.  Evidence prepared by LPP and presented at the appeal hearing was instrumental in securing a planning obligation package well below the levels sought by the Council.

9-11 Melbury Road

LPP have successfully secured planning permission and listed building consent for the conversion of this large dwelling near Holland Park to two top-end houses. The consent also allows for significant extensions to the property including a contemporary style, double height glazed rear extension designed by Tff architects together with the removal of a non-original side wing to the property and its replacement with a new side wing following a more traditional, conservationist approach and additional extension of the basement area to provide further living and staff accommodation and swimming pools. Careful negotiation with design officers allowed for a modern extension to be attached to this Grade II Listed Building.

8-10 Grafton Street

Following the completion of the S106 agreement, planning permission has been granted for the redevelopment of this site. The proposals will regenerate this dull and dreary backwater of Mayfair with a mixed-use development of the highest quality architecture with a new public realm providing amenable pedestrian links through the site and an improved, attractive and secure environment for the adjacent residential properties. The development will bring forward much-welcomed new housing and improved commercial floorspace.

16 Arundel Gardens

LPP has successfully overturned a refusal of planning permission by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for the conversion of the property from 4 self-contained flats to one family dwelling. The property was subject to a condition prohibiting the amalgamation of the 4 flats. In allowing the appeal, the Inspector agreed that there would be no loss of residential to another use; the loss of 3 units would not jeapordise the Borough’s ability to meet their housing target and there was an identified need for larger, owner-occupied properties.

Saatchi Gallery

LPP have secured planning consent at committee level for a new 112 cover restaurant with ancillary bar area as part of the Saatchi Gallery development at the Duke of York’s Headquarters building, Chelsea.

February 2008

160 Bromley Road, Catford

LPP have secured planning consent from the London Borough of Lewisham for a development comprising 20,835 square metres of commercial floorspace, including offices, self-storage and employment units.  The scheme was referable to the Mayor of London.  The consent was secured within 13 weeks under delegated powers.

January 2008

Waldegrave Arms, Teddington

Despite strong opposition from residents, and a ward councillor, LPP have secured planning consent from the London Borough of Richmond for a mixed use scheme on the site of the Waldegrave Arms, Teddington.
