Qualifications: BA (Hons) (Upper Second Class) Geography, University of Nottingham, MA in Town and Regional Planning (RTPI accredited), University of Sheffield.

Summary of Experience

Simon has extensive local government experience covering major and minor planning applications, the negotiation of legal agreements, public inquiry, informal hearing and written representation appeals and the resolution of planning enforcement investigations. Simon retains excellent contacts with the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and continues to advise the Council about the Imperial Wharf development on a consultancy basis. Simon also has excellent contacts at other London Boroughs.

Since 2005, Simon has advised a range of central London clients on all aspects of the planning process. Simon has also developed wider experience representing clients with sites in the Green Belt in the South East and development sites in Exeter and Plymouth.

Royal Docks, London Borough of Newham – residential-led mixed-use

development (680 flats and ground floor retail) in three 20-storey towers.

Grafton Street, City of Westminster – mixed-use development of office and residential uses across two buildings.

Fulham Road, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea – refurbishment and extension of building to provide retail and residential uses.

Rochester Place, London of Camden – two schemes of mixed-use developments incorporating ground floor business units and residential flats above.

Kent County Council, Kent – advice on planning obligations strategy.

Eden Valley School, Kent – community hall and residential development on Green Belt land.

EDF site, Lodge Road, City of Westminster – large scale residential development including affordable housing.

RAC Club, Pall Mall and Woodcote Park – alterations to Listed buildings.
