Summary of Experience

Tim has recently joined the London Planning Practice after 5 years as a Senior Strategic Planner at the Great London Authority.  Tim also has a number of years experience as a local authority planner in London and New Zealand. 

Tim’s most recent role at the Greater London Authority involved assessing and leading on the Mayor’s response to major development proposals of strategic importance in London. This required negotiation and liaison with central government, local authorities, developers and their agents.

Tim was also involved in the scrutiny of number of emerging London Borough Development Plans under the new planning system to ensure conformity with the Mayor’s Spatial Development Strategy. 

Project Experience:

Some of the proposals which Tim was lead officer on are set out below:

Stratford City, one of the largest development proposals in London, including 5,000 new homes homes and over 500,000 square metres of office and retail floorspace. 

Aldgate Union, major office development in the city fringe involving the removal of part of a gyratory system and replacement with a new public park to be provided through the planning obligations package.

Canary Wharf, several significant office developments in the Canary Wharf estate including Riverside South and North Quay.
